Mr. Purcell is a Co-founder and Managing Partner of Alua Capital Management, where he currently serves as Co-Portfolio Manager. Mr. Purcell co-founded Alua Capital with Marco Tablada in November 2020 after several years spent as Founder and Managing Partner of his own single-family office, Lake Trail Capital. Prior to Lake Trail Capital, Mr. Purcell was an investor at Viking Global Investors for over 14 years, where he served in various investment and management capacities including serving as the firm’s Co-chief Investment Officer, a member of the Management Committee, and a Member of the Executive Committee. Mr. Purcell started his investment career as a generalist at Tiger Management in 1998.

Mr. Purcell earned his MBA from Harvard Business School, where he was a Baker Scholar, and graduated from Georgetown University with a B.S. in Foreign Service.
